Experienced and Dedicated

Kent Falting and Adam Rabo have a combined 30 years of coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, and professional level.

Coach Falting began his coaching career at Parkway High School in 2005 where in his 20 years, he has coached over 250 All-District athletes in cross country and track, 166 All-Region, 57 State Medalists, 17 State Champions, and 21 All-Americans from various associations. He has coached two state championship cross country teams while also serving as the strength and conditioning coach for state championship teams in wrestling and girls basketball.

In 2018, Coach Falting subsequently restarted the cross country and track program at Bossier Parish Community College. In its first year of existence, the men’s cross country program won the school’s first ever Region 14 championship in any sport and finished 34th overall at the Juco National Championships.

In 2022, Coach Falting set out to begin coaching professional athletes in the marathon. His very first athlete qualified for the Boston Marathon in her first ever race. She went on to run one of the fastest Louisiana-born women’s times in marathon history in her Boston debut and is only 10:00 shy of qualifying for the 2028 U.S. Olympic Trials!

Coach Rabo is a lifetime runner who starred at Pineville High School in Louisiana before joining Coach Falting’s staff at Parkway in 2014. With his help, the Parkway boys cross country team was able to finish as State-Runner Up in Louisiana’s largest classification. Inspired to lead his own program, Coach Rabo was hired on at Louisiana State University-Shreveport to take over a fledgeling cross country program. In two short years, Coach Rabo not only developed All-Conference athletes on both the men’s and women’s sides, but also qualified the first and only LSUS athlete to the NAIA National Championships.

After leaving Louisiana for another career path, Coach Rabo renewed his passion for running by pursuing his dream of becoming a successful ultramarathoner. Coach Rabo has gone on to complete a 100-miler, recorded an elusive Fastest Known Time, run a Boston Marathon qualifying time, and completed the Pike’s Peak marathon during this pursuit. His knowledge of the truly long distance races has helped him to coach professional athletes to qualify for both the Chicago and Boston Marathon in the last two years.

Athletes trained by Coach Falting and Coach Rabo have gone on to find tremendous success with over 50 high school athletes finding colleges to run for, college athletes becoming All-Conference athletes (with one former athlete being named an NCAA All-American), and post-collegiate athletes finding success in road races and the marathon.

Whether you are an athlete looking to reach the next level or someone who is looking to start your running journey for the first time, these two coaches have a plan for you and will guide you toward your goal.

Your legacy starts today and these are the coaches to help you build it!

Testimonials

Working with Coach Falting was a blessing. I not only improved my running knowledge but also dropped my running times. Going into my junior year of cross country, I had very little understanding of aspects contributing to running fundamentals. As a 17 minute 5k runner, I was able to cut 30 seconds from my time using his helpful summer program. Coach Falting is a very approachable and knowledgeable coach. It was a joy to work with one of the best coaches in the nation!

-Jack, age 16

When I joined LTC, it was with the goal of qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon. I had the speed, but on my own I wasn’t making the cut. With Coach Rabo’s training plan and mental/psyche coaching, I was able to get that BQ I’d been chasing at my next marathon and got to fulfill my lifelon dream of racing Boston!

-Brett, age 36

In college, I ran for the University of Alabama. After a few years of post-collegiate burnout and a break from running, getting married, and having my first child, I remembered a goal that I had set years back: to qualify for and run the prestigious Boston Marathon. I reached out to Coach Falting, with the original goal to run a sub-3:30 qualifying time, and in the midst of his initial training, re-kindled a love and passion for the sport and community of running more than ever before. With Coach Falting and Coach Rabo’s expertise and training plan, I ran my first qualifying marathon in 2:57, and then 2:48:55 at the Boston Marathon just 7 months later. With Coach Falting’s training, I now feel stronger than ever aerobically (including my college training days), completing big workouts (some twice the amount I was able to complete in college) feeling strong and fast. Overall, Coach Falting is an excellent coach, taking into account more than just the intricate science of the training plan, but most importantly, the careful implementation of the plan amongst life’s changing demands outside of running. As a stay-at-home mom of two kids (3 and 10 months), I have a lot going on at all times. Coach Falting supports me every step of the way, and strategically adjusts training as needed to help keep me in the best shape and head-space possible. Falting coaches me as a person who runs, not just as a runner- an attribute to his already science-based planning that makes his coaching stand out among many others. The workouts, though sometimes scary on paper, have made me a better person and runner: teaching me to believe in myself, trust my training fully, and dare to dream for and ultimately reach big goals!

-Alison, age 29

I picked up running back in April wanting to accomplish some big goals. I ran cross country all four years of high school, but it has been seven years since then. My very first run I couldn’t even run a mile. It was right around 11:30 pace. As my training progressed, I joined the Legacy Track Club where my progress began to skyrocket. I mainly work with Coach Rabo where his knowledge of half-marathon and marathon training seems never-ending. We work on creating a structured plan of mileage increases, weight training, and speed workouts. Whenever I have any questions about how to improve or what I should be focusing on, he always has the answer.

-Brencen, age 26, ran 1:27:21 in his first ever 1/2 marathon

Throughout my year of training with the Legacy Track Club, I improved both physically and mentally. From the very first month, I knew I could trust the coaches, and they would help me understand so much more about the way my body works and the right way to train. Their very specific day-to-day plans made me feel so much more confident as a runner. My times improved drastically. Being very injury prone, I was able to overcome a lot of obstacles with the coaching and become a healthy athlete.

-Richard, age 18, improved his 3-mile time from 18:05 to 16:18
